Starcraft has been a running for some time now with its most recent Terran based Starcraft II ”Wings of Liberty” title so we all knew it was only a matter of time until there was more to the story, and today we take a look at just that in the new “Heart of The Swarm” release.
Pivos is one of those companies that you might not have ever heard of unless your looking for the specific types of devices they offer. Being a major player in digital media playback and IPTV systems among many more emerging technologies we had heard of them a bit before looking at this unit. Thecus’s latest 5-bay NAS, the N5550, is designed for small and medium size businesses (SMB) or home users who need a powerful data file server to centralize all of their digital content. The N5550 Has some excellent specs on paper which happen to match our recently reviewed N4800 with the inclusion of a 5th drive bay, using Intel Cedar Trail Atom D2550 processor, 2GB of DDR3, and 1 GB of SATA DOM for the OS. The device retails for $560 on Newegg which is a bit steep but not unreasonable.

ASUS has passed us yet another card from their DirectCU II lineup with the GTX 560 Ti 2GB TOP edition. This is a bit of an older model but it is a refresh of the 560 with the addition of double the frambuffer and a higher clockspeed. ZOTAC AMP edition is something that just recently with the 660 Ti we found to be a seriously ferocious competitor. AMP edition cards are built for all out speed and coming with highly capable performance oriented coolers we expect great things from them. Today looking at the 680 AMP edition we expect no different.
GIGABYTE was not long behind the release of Intel’s Thunderbolt, and quickly instituted the new technology on desktop boards. One of their first entries in the Z77 line with included Thunderbolt is the Z77X-UP5 TH. So far, it looks like a great product with dual-Thunderbolt, allowing for up to 12 devices. Let’s see if the board can perform as well as its specs say.
