OCZ Vertex 450 2x128GB RAID

Looking at the model number of the OCZ Vertex 450 and you would be thinking that the product falls in the same family as the Vertex 4. However, the only thing that the Vertex 450 shares with the Vertex 4 is only the branding of Vertex. Other than that, the Vertex 450 actually is more closely related to the performance Vector series SSD that OCZ has launched late last year. The Vertex 450 uses the same Barefoot III (part number IDX500M10-BC) controller as the Vector but instead of using 25nm NAND MLC chip as the Vector, the Vertex 450 is paired with the die-shrunk 20nm MLC NAND. The shift to 20nm fabrication process is inevitable in order to save costs and to increase the NAND capacity so that manufacturers could pack more bits per die. Steam Machine comes with Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU

STEAM has announced the SteamOS that is aimed to bring PC games to your living room. The company is also gearing to unveil its prototype Steam Machines and controllers. While the device will not be available for purchasing until next year, some lucky 300 Steam users may get their chance of testing the prototype. Steam has listed the specification of the prototype. The system will come with Intel processor i7-4770, or i5-4570, or i3. For the GPU, it will include NVIDIA Titan, GTX 780, GTX 760, or GTX 660 and the card will have 3GB of GDDR5. The system will have 16GB of DDR3 and 1TB of storage in the form of SSHD with 8GB for caching, which we presume is from Seagate. The power supply is 80+ Gold 450W. OCZ Introduces new Deneva 2 Series

OCZ updated the Deneva 2, the enterprise SSD, with 19 nm toggle NAND flash. The Deneva 2 uses LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller and will come in three capacity: 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB. It is rated to have up to 550 MB/s read, 520 MB/s write, 45,000 IOPS 4K random read, and 34,000 IOPS 4K random write. The new Deneva 2 includes advanced features such as data fail recovery, intelligent block management, wear leveling and robust error correction. The new model also has lower power consumption. AMD Announces Radeon R9 and R7 Graphic Cards

AMD has announced the latest generation of the GPUs. The new product series have gotten a new branding that forgo the HD branding. Instead, the upcoming cards will be branded as Radeon R7 for mainstream and budget models and the R9 for the performance and enthusiasts models. The R9 series will be DirectX 11.2 compatible with enhanced energy efficiency. While AMD has not disclosed any specification on the card, it has stated that the top of the line GPU will deliver 5 TFLOPs of performance, 300 GB/s of memory bandwidth, calculate 4 billion of triangle per second, and has more than 6 billion of transistors. The top model Radeon R9 290X will come with 4GB memory and a new heatsink design. The card will be available pre-order starting on October 13, 2013 but AMD has not announced the pricing yet. GIGABYTE’s BRIX is a compact desktop based on the Intel NUC that packed a tiny PC in 29.9mm x 107.6 mm x 114.4 mm. With the release of the Haswell, GIGABYTE has updated their BRIX series to include the latest and the greatest CPU from Intel. The BRIX features glass surface mounted on anthracite aluminum frame GIGABYTE upgraded the BRIX with four 4th generation Intel Core processor: Core i7-4500U, Core i5-4200U, Core i3-4100U, and Celeron 2955U. All of the models are dual-core 15W TDP with the Core model features Intel HD 4000 graphics and hyperthreading support. The Celeron lacks the hyperthreading support and comes with HD Graphics.   Despite its tiny footprint, the BRIX is packed with all of the essentials.
