Hybrid drive is a great way to have the performance of an SSD and the storage capacity of a hard drive. So far Seagate is one of the few companies that are pushing for the hybrid drive with the Momentus XT drive and it has enjoyed some success. OCZ also has their Revo Hybrid drive that we have reviewed where it paired 1TB hard drive to an SSD.  

Super Talent is entering the market of the hybrid drive with the Super Hybrid drives. The Super Hybrid drive is a lot like the OCZ Revo Hybrid where it combines a 1.2 TB or 2.2 TB mechanical drive to some SSD. The Super Hybrid drive connects to the host PC through the PCI Express interface for maximum throughput. While the official PR does not state the amount of SSD is included, it appears that there are 192 GB onboard NAND available for storage that can achieve maximum sequential read and write speed up to 800 MB/s. It also appears that the drive will be utilizing Marvell controller as well since it comes pre-installed with the Marvell Storage Utilize that allows plug and play usage.
