You've got about as good of a system as you can get right now. Other than DirectX10 compatibility you should be able to do some pretty good gaming with that thing for a few years.
Since the motherboard is SLI compatible you can always add another 7900GTX down the road to boost your graphics performance.
Nice purchase, enjoy your system! If you don't mind me asking, how much did that set you back and where did you order it from?

Puget Systems $2,940 for the system. Best Buy for the Samsung $364. I don't tinker with PC's at this point so the price was worth it for me.

That's a very nice system. You'll have fun with it for quite some time I think.

Assuming you can get used to Windows, that system should blow you out of the water in the performance difference from any but the most recent Mac desktop. It's about one of the best set ups you could get. DirectX 10 will only be a concern if you plan to upgrade to Vista, otherwise that system will be all you need for 3+ years... ;)

Very sweet setup and now all you need is a DX10 GPU to go with it once they are out.

nice setup. it is all top notch parts. i love it when i company uses good brand name parts instead of cheap crap but still charge the customer top dollar for it.

First computer (and I was out of college for 3 years all ready) I bought was a Mac SE in 1987 - 2 mg RAM, 20 mg HD, 9" B&W screen (512x342), 8mhz 68000, at $3,500 or about what my new set up cost with the Monitor :)
BTW, the new computer arrived and its real nice. Have to still work on getting Teamspeak audio through headphone with game sounds - but so far so good. Very quiet - fans are pushing air through but not very loud at all.

That was actually a decent amount of ram compared to the hd. If we were to have as much ram as a 10th of the hdd now

Yep - great purchase form Puget Systems. Open box, pull out computer, place computer in desk, connect keyboard, connect monitor, connect internet, plug into battery backup system. Turn on and off we go. Plug and play no problems.
Performance excellent - I have been playing a game called WW2OL since November 2002 - yeah I know the graphics are just ok but the game play is second to none if you gave the game some time.
Anyway on the Mac I was seeing maybe 15 to 20 fps in heavy town fighting (figure 100 players on the ground and a dozen planes or more in one town). Very difficult to play infantry at low fps. Now I am seeing 45 to as high as 75 fps in town in heavy battles, and over 90 at forward bases, and 100+ flying.
The game is getting a new rendering engine/routine in the next 6 months or perhaps later but that should help performance.
