I just tried my 7900GTs. They're both bad in different ways. One is definitely bad. The other can survive. Don't know what to do. I've placed two tickets with XFX.
Waiting for response, should probably be soon for the first ticket.
They were purchased internationally (Australia) but from America. Does that still allow them to be on warranty? The first owner had it on their warranty, but I don't know if I'm covered by the double lifetime warranty or not. I've contacted XFX before to transfer warranty, and they told me they did it for me sucessfully already.
All I know is it says, "Valid only to purchases made in North America (USA or Canada). " which my cards were purchased from America.
I'm so worried. Aww. I should of stuck with my XFX 6800.

Sorry to hear of your troubles... :(
XFX will honor their warranty, the only issues will be covering shipping costs I believe. If you post your ticket number here the local forum XFX Support tech can look into your situation. :)

Yeh, I feel this is the situation I am in.
The shipping is $60. Ouch. Since both cards are bad, at least I get to combine shipping.
If they're going to send the same old cards to me again after warranty, I'll just skip and not play games then (or don't play any games that makes the card crash which card 2 cannot do at all). Don't want to waste more $$$ for more useless cards.
EDIT: Ticket number for 7900GT problems is 64608. I only reported one card. But now I found out both cards are bad. Just one card can actually still survive and play games and only seems to crash between 2d to 3d performance. The other card just artifacts and 100% bad. Can't underclock memory by not even 1Mhz.
EDIT2: Heres the other ticket number for the other video card that also has problems too, just not as many. 64658

Don't worry about them sending back the same old cards you sent them; they won't do that.

Dear Sikkony, I have looked into your threads about your cards and it appears that there is a technician assisting you. Please try and maintain one thread to minimize confusion. Also please let the tech know about your situation so that we can look into your options for where to send the card in for service if necessary.

Yep that is right. Sorry for starting two tickets! I thought we had to make a ticket for each card seperately. My bad.
Ok, I will post my situation up too (the warranty situation I assuming?).

Yes the 7900GT has seemed to be a headache for many customers and manufactures alike.
