Mine was a Soltek K8TPro 939
http://www.a1-electronics.net/AMD_Section/Mobos/2005/939-1st/Soltek_K8TPro-939_Jan.shtml
It was the first thing I bought "Refurb" from Newegg. It was like $50 and was complete. I loved the color and the fact it had fan headers at all 4 corners.
It was the one thing that got me started modding stuff cause it was so different than the asus and abit stuff that I had been using up to that point.

Its gotta be the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum because it was a very good OC'ing board; much better than my current A8N-E with its crappy 1T bug; argh

The most fun with any board I've had goes to my old Abit NF7-S, it OC'd like a wildman with no problems at all, next up is my current DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra, sometimes the memory settings can get on your nerves though.

All time oldy favorite would be my first nForce board. The Shuttle AN35N nF2 ULTRA-400 for my old AthlonXP 2600+. Was, and is really nice. Up next was my DFI Lanparty nF3 ULTRA UT. OCed my 3800+ X2 on it to 2.6ghz. Nice boards.
All time Best would have to be the Widely adopted ASUS P2B.
Pentium II board, they are still out there Rock Solid last forever and easy to overclock.
I used to just H-Oda's soft FSB, 2 clicks set the fsb in software and you were off.

So far the only boards that I've owned were the Abit IS7 and the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3.
Between those, it's obvious which one I'd vote for...

No kidding but I am sure Kougar will give a fast GPU a well deserved home.

Well, I WAS gaming with my 9600XT, and still am just that it is in another machine. Both machines are hooked up to the same APC 1100 back-UPS unit though, so technically...
I have given into resignation and am about to see what Vista makes of that 7000 (DX7 based card), as the copy of XP is about to expire tomorrow on that machine and there is no point in buying XP now with a free RC1 of Vista to use, Areo or not. I would have a 7900GS right now, but I am fighting to wait the last month or two, maybe three, for some DX10 cards to at long last appear...

I advice the X1900XT myself. The 7800GS is nice for AGP, i really didnt see no need for PCI-E yet but since mine was free i guess i couldnt complain. If it wasnt for that id still be chuggin along on a 7800GS happy as ever. (The nF3 ultra is AGP with S939)

The other system is an AGP Abit IS7. Thanks guys, but I don't plan to upgrade it any further... ;) The next card I get will definitly be PCIe, as you get much more performance per the dollar spent. :) The Gigabyte DS3 is a PCIe motherboard, and the ATI 7000 is a basic legacy white PCI slot card. Vista installed and works just fine on it, but my monitor's refresh rate is hard locked at 60hz... my eyes are hurting already!! :-x

i just had a quick question, i have a spare 400watt psu lying around, could i mount that in my pc, and use it as a second PSU for my sli setup? iw as thinking of sli'ing 6800gt's, they are power hungry

What do you have as a PSU right now? If you could, just get one of those Thermaltake SLI PSUs or something. They seem sound enough.

Returning on topic, I think that my favorite is the MSI K7T266-Pro2, except for it's AMR slot instead of a PCI one.
