All fans run at different speeds based on their power rating. You can get fans taht run as low as 1500RPM and upto 7000RPM.

When you buy fans the packaging ususally tells you the specs like the fan rpm speed. If you have a link for the fans you might buy maybe I could help more.

That fan looks like a generic black case fan that runs at 2500-2700rpm with a sound level of 28-32dB. YOu should only get a fan controller if you fans are too loud for your liking.

Sunbeam Tech has some 120mm LED fans that run as low as 1000 RPM (totally silent and still cool the case just fine. Their Rheobus is also outstanding for controling loud highspeed fans and can handle up to 20 watts per channel, it will also turn the fans completely off if you so wish.

I haven't a clue if their products can be found in your area though, but here in the US they are real cheap......;)

Computer accessories are always cheaper in the US; some Candian etailers have Sunbeam product but not alot of selection.

If you get the CoolDrive 6 fan controller from Cooler Master let me know, I made some software for it that lets you control the fan speeds automatically to match a chosen temperature. I've seen some of them go for 5$ off ebay and the hard drive cooling works well.

When I was debugging the software, sometimes it would get into cycles of high fan speed/low fan speed, and my machine would sound a bit like Darth Vader. :)
