Another TV in? Not much else you could put in there that will fit.

I would put a mesh cover with a fan for cooling to one side than to the other side I would mount a fan controller vertical,

OR...

OR if the TV dosent work we can get a less expensive TV and install it in the old TVs frame,

Would like to help, but PhotoBucket seems dead right now.

The LEDs build into that Vantec controller exceed their definition of "ultra-bright". If you don't like having your room fully lit up at night in a blue glow, then you don't want that Vantec controller. ;)

hmmm, i just typed this but i dissapered, oh well.

mark, that water cooling thing looks good, but its given me a nother idea, i could make an acrylic resevoir to fit in the hole, and go all out water cooling, fill it with some green uv reactive stuff, might look pretty cool, i may do that if i cant get me theta tp101 to work, as all the info from that was gonna be on the tv, but if i dont have the tv, or the fan controller its all a bit worthless :(

Really nice case harry!

A cheapo PSX LCD directly connected to a VGA port? (Works with some soldering @ 640x480 60Hz)
A mono graphic LCD? (Crystalfontz kind)

Get the same model on eBay or an other 6.5" behind the hole?

What's actually happening with this TV? Is the backlight dead?

Bondo is your friend but it would be hard to make it blend with the existing wood colour blend.

Maybe use tinted wood putty instead of the salmon-colored headache maker?(I used a quarter pound of pre-mixed Bondo within one day in a garage this summer on some speakers)

Or maybe put something larger? Less problems with color matching.

It's a very nice case harry, it'll get some bids. I'm quite sure.

Kougar

If you don't want to sell it below a set price, then just put a reserve in... otherwise you're going to tick off a few people and potentially get yourself in trouble if you cancel an auction with that sort of excuse. ;)

harry18
09-20-2006, 08:52 PM
yea i know, its gonna anoy alotta peeps, but its totally plauseable, ill say while i was getting readdy to pack it, it stopped booting and i cant figure out whats wrong with it.

im open to sugestions on what i can tell the poor bum that wins it but cant actully have it!

tell him the lcd is screwed and the mobo acts kind of freaky now and then. :) (it's only half a lie :-D)

Kougar

Better hope that "poor bum" doesn't file a claim against you with ebay... If I was in his shoes and suspected it was a fake auction, I would. ;)

yeah id get pissed if i won something and someone said something like that...

ebay has chnged a bit, i may be able to end it early, like 2 mins early, i dont think people would be that bothered, i once bought somthing at a bargin of £80, then i went to pay and the bum said he couldnt sell them for 80, and i ended up giveing him 130!

harry18
09-21-2006, 06:29 PM
well, it sold for a earth shakeing £432.22, time for the ugly part, of telling them they cant have it:roll:

The case alone ?!?
That's why I call eBay overpriced-bay. People want something so much that they'd pay any price for it to get it, making almost everything unaffordable.

im pretty sure he said it was a complete computer.

yup fraid so, that was for the whole thing, im putting it down to the fact the ebayers dont know much about PCs, some people were offering £200 for it, i was like ya, that'll get ya the vga.

i told the gaon that bought it, that i knocked the case over as i was packing it and the motherboard snapped....but now he wants to see a pic..time for some photoshopping!

There are reasons why ebay states all auctions are contracts. You got swindled.

I only see yourself digging a deeper hole, be prepared for the buyer to submit that photoshopped pic in his claim against you.

DragonMaster

You're in trouble!

Can't you find a dead mobo and break it? (Ex: Cooler was too heavy, it broke around it)

harry18
09-22-2006, 12:17 AM
yea, i gave up with the pic and siad you cant really see it, weve exchanged emails, it shoudl eb ok, id be cool with this kind of situation, but dunno bout him, i did come up with a pretty convinceing story tho

werty316
09-22-2006, 12:26 AM
You shouldn't sell something if you don't plan on selling it as you could get in alot of trouble if you don't go through with the agreement if the auction does end.

What kind of desciption would you put for this?
"I don't wanna sell this case but I wanna see how much I can get"? Not very smart.

If it isn't written in your auction that something is wrong with it the buyer can really screw you over and report you to Ebay for false advertisement because you didn't want to sell it but it did sell and didn't mention the story you told him.

As mentioned all ebay auctions are contracts and must be completed by both parties involved or bad things can happen.

harry18
09-22-2006, 12:37 AM
yea, yea i know, i knew what i was getting in to, but i thought screw it, i was curious, and i was going to sell it if it actully reached a decent price. but what ive said is totally plausable, and supposing what i told the buyer had actully happend, be in the same situation, im just like meh, whats the worst that could happen....(dont answer that)

DragonMaster
09-22-2006, 03:30 AM
Actually, some people tell that they may end their auction when they want for whatever reason since it might be sold elsewhere. You should have marked something like this and tell that you already sold the case.
