Honestly, it's not nearly that surprising as it's not a full "core" as what is in your or my machines... it's basically the same idea Sun uses with their UltraSparc processors. They currently have 8 cores, each core can process 4 threads apiece, for a total of 32 threads running concurrently. Their next Sparc chip is doubling this (IIRC), and is due out much, much sooner.

Doh! I didn't see Intel and 80 so I thought it wasn't there. :mrgreen:
