If you played CoH then the recorded games are a great feature and learning tool .
Only problem no speed control you have to wait all the time for the part taht intrest you.
that is the same for the single player option also.

in this thread you can create a script to control Speed and other things.
Save the script to a autoexec.lua file to the game install folder (C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\):
Middle mouse button - toggle taskbar
F7 - toggle game ui
F8 - toggle FPS graph
Ctrl+W - toggle wrieframe mode
Ctrl+B - toggle bigheadmode
Ctrl+Up - reset to default speed if current game speed is slower than default, otherwise, double the game speed.
Ctrl+Down - reset to default speed if current game speed is after than default, otherwise, slow down game speed in half.
Ctrl+Left - slower game speed a bit
Ctrl+Right - faster game speed a bit
Ctrl+F - Camera Follow Selection
Ctrl+S - Take Super HiRes ScreenShot
