Want to know what NVIDIA’s G80 card will look like? These pictures have been verified to be one of the upcoming models of NVIDIA’s next-gen GPU. Note the two six-pin power connectors and water cooler on one of the cards seems to still be prototype. This goes a long ways to confirm all of the 300 watt consumption rumors that have been circulating. Thanks to Joey R. for the pictures.

It look like the two watercooling valves are connected one to the other, we just see a little pipe going from one to the other... suspicious...

Yeah that does look odd, and if it is going to be water cooled why the fan?
It is going to have to be a dang fast card since it has to beat a 7950 GX2 since it will replace it. Just imagine SLI would take 600Watts just for the cards.

O_O OMFG THATS HUGE AND PACKED WITH STUFF
if you look closer it seems to be the water hose things are only for show...
or mabey its going to be a choice thing where you dont have to buy a waterblock if you do have watercooling, just hook it up and go....
mabey a second radiator?
WHY THE SPEAKER?!?!?!?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...pizza :D

The cooler could be a hybred type like what Thermaltake has been building for sometime for Air/water CPU coolers, (Volcano 4005)........ Like they said, more than likely still a proto-type, something like the Tide Water with a intagrated block and to connect with a complete water cooling system.........
Pretty easy to explain really.

Damn two PCI-E power connectors and hell that is long  Talk about a beast with a huge heat exchanger. Definitey for the hardcores since it will require a PSU with ample wattage.

Obviously this probably is not a production model. After all the 7950GX2 looked different when it was the 7900GX2 ;)

Man, I hope those pics are fake.... 2 PCI-X connectors, and possible water cooling required?! :?

OMG! A $500 power supply?!?! Not saying it's overpriced, just kind of depressing that those kinds of things are becoming necessary.

Looks like you're pretty much going to need a 1KW PSU to run a system with the new video cards, ATI or Nvidia...........:)

This IS overpriced, the power bill will be too.

They should be working on efficiency before improving video and FPS for a while IMO.

I hate spending lots of money for things I know they're not good for long
(I spent $360 on an old amp recently, but I use it about 90% of the time I'm in my room, and not sleeping, so I don't consider this lost money. But, I sometimes see my brother playing $70 games for just a week or two, that's different. Same for RAM, the one I want costs about $20 more every weeks, now at $440, but it's only going to be used for a few years, and I bought too much things to actually be able to get $200 RAM.)

Did y'all notice the fan opening goes completely through the PCB, so it's open at both ends?? That should really help airflow. And then there is even a tiny PC chip speaker on there... I guess the graphics card will be able to start giving beep error codes to warn when it's not getting enough power
Scott, not even that PSU looks like it can run Quad DX10 SLI...

It doesn't go through it, look at the back of the card picture, there's no hole at all. What you see is the bottom of the heatsink, that looks quite polished.

the holes probably are for 3rd party coolers ;)

Nah, Dragon got it right, I'd goofed. The heatsink is an identical match to the background that the card is sitting on, so it looks like you can see through the card. I managed to not notice the photo with the back of the card showing otherwise.
I still don't think that PSU is worth it's salt unless it can run Quad-DX10 SLI.
