I'll still be playing it in the Dx9 renderer provided it features good gameplay and by that, not the typical run and gun from Far Cry.

Dx9 renderer? I thought they would only release it for Dx10? Did they change this?

Aliens with freeze rays are silly, honestly... but they might help you overclock your graphics card :)

Crysis will run on DX9, but the game will not look nearly like what the developers envisioned... to get that, you will have to use DX10.

All the screenshots ever published of Crysis were only on slightly modified DX9... ;)

They haven't had Dx10 to work with as of yet, however seeing as how they can work well with adding scalability options later seen from Far Cry (SM2 to SM3 changes, etc), they will do well again. :mrgreen: So yes, it's all Dx9 right now especially with chances of Vista delays, so they could release it anytime before hand from the impression I got in a preview months ago at bit-tech.

Ok, I was under the impression that the company was receiving financial encouragment from MS & card makers to only release a Dx10 version to convince people to switch over. Maybe I'm just paranoid. :)


Anwyay, if I wanted a game where I have to adapt to a changing environment, I'd go outside. I can't tell if it's going to be warm and rainy or freezing tonight. :!
