Greetings and Kind regards to whomever may be able to help me!

I have recently upgraded my system to include the awe inspiring power of the XFX Gefore 7950 GX2... However it has so far decided not to show me any of it's mind-bending graphics in action. This is because everytime I install a game (Even Ghost Recon: AW, which came with the card) and try to play it, the computer either crashes out to the BSOD, freezes and hisses at me or restarts itself on it's own accord. I really can't see any clear reason for this so please HELP!

Here is a list of non-solutions I have tried so far:

* Complete Format and re-installation of Windows (Fully updated).
* Update of all component drivers.
* Reinstalling Nvidia Drivers (Latest and some previous).
* Cleaning out drivers with "Driver Cleaner Pro" after installing Direct X 9.0c and then reinstalling.
* Switching between Multi GPU & Multi display.
* Flashing BIOS.

So far - No joy... :(

Here be a list of my Comupter's components:
Mainboard - DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR
CPU - AMD Athlon FX55
Graphics Card - XFX GeForce 7950 GX2
Sound Card - Creative SOund Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty
RAM - 2GB Samsung (Uknown speed???)
PSU - Antec 500watt Phantom
Hard Drives - 1x IDE Maxtor 40gb (Master)
- 1x SATA 33gb Western Digital Raptor 10,000rpm
- 1x SATA 76gb Western Digital Raptor 10,000rpm

Many Thanks in advance - I'd hate to have to send this card back!

Power supply is to small!!!! I can tell you that from experience with the Antec power supplies. That being a smaller 500 is the problem, you will want at least an Antec True Power 550 or better yet a 650 of some vendor.

Here is the specs of your supply: http://www.antec.com/specs/Phantom500_spe.html

You should get this and it will fix it: http://www.antec.com/specs/TP3_550_spe.html

Or the 650 bigger one. 3 12Volt rails with good amps.

Cheers Mate!
I'll see if I can dig a bigger PSU out of my spares.. think I got a 650 somewhere.. I'll let you know how I get on.
It's a bugger though.. The Phantom is nice and quiet!

Welcome to Bjorn3D, Kleon :)
For your PSU, don't look at total wattage... rather, look to the TOTAL AMPS that the PSU produces on its 12V rails to determine it's real power potential.
