Need new Cooler for AGP 6600 GT

U guys have any idea where I can find a replacement Fan/cooler for my Vid Card

This is what I got:

XFX PVT43AUDF3 Geforce 6600GT 256MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail

It sounds like the darn Fan is going bad, and I need to get it fixed Pronto!!!


I've looked in the usual places like xpcGear, Xoxide, Crazy PC, etc. I can't find a replacement anywhere. I did see a PCI-e 6600 cooler on Artic Cooler, but didn't think it would work for my AGP (am I wrong?)

I think the best bet would be a Zalman VF700 ALCu or Cu since like you said AC doesn't have a cooler for the 6600GT AGP cards because of the HSI chip.

Only issue with the VF700 is you need to "trim" down some of the ramsinks due to the memory too close to the cooler when installed.

Hm, if it was PCIe I'd just suggest putting the money you'd spend in a new cooler into buying a $112 7600GT, that equates to a step above a 6800 Ultra. But for AGP, it'd cost a good bit more to upgrade cards...

Also you may want to try cleaning it. Some times dust and such can build up inside the fan and cause it to make a grinding sound. You could always call XFX and see what they suggest. They may sell or give you a new one. Just my 2c.
