I just posted some pics in the gallery, but I thought that I would share with you all my first mod.

Her name is Pris. Though she is showing her age now, she always smells fresh and clean!

Yeah that case must look cluttered with that much hardware but then again those Aspire cases are full size towers and have more room for cable management.

An HDD, a DVD-RW and a front bay is too much for my mATX, I have trouble fitting the flat 40-pin cable from my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum in my mATX case, and my HDD's SATA cable is way too stiff and long...
What if I add a floppy/memory card reader and fan controller in the 3.5" bays ???

Null, you used two Vantec fan controllers?! Talk about a full case... I drew the line when I filled up my Vantec NXP-201-BK, all the wires from it did the most work in making the mess of wires in my case ;)

It is, indeed, a lot of hardware. She's stacked!
And it's all running on a $50 Aspire psu.

Never ever have I had a problem with Pris.
She's a good girl.

Don't make my girl mad, werty. She's a Superflower! She's black and she's proud!
I am not black. But I am proud too.

But, I am a Messy Marvin. There! I said it! I will never become cable management certified.
Oh, well. I will just have to do the best that I can. We must all accept our limitations. I have accepted mine.

Kougar, I use the 3.5 in. controller for lights, but since I never turn the lights off in the case, about the only thing it really does for me is that the knobs add pretty blue lights. I like them. They add ambience. Besides, they match my battle light that I use when gaming. It's blue too, not red; too cliche'.

So uh what does this computer do? And whats the mod? And the price to pay with so much hardware is all that clutter, wow. I like most of the hardware though, pretty nice.

So uh what does this computer do?

Pris is my grfx box; for Photoshop and whatnot. Got her hooked up to 13" & 24" wide format printers. Getting in to photo based art. Giving photos a painterly effect. I want to sell Florida themed art to old farts like snowbirds. That way, I can give 'em a deal on two; one for their home back up north and one for their shack on the beach down here.

And whats the mod?

The air freshener, of course! You wouldn't believe how many measurements I took and how many calculations I made to get it just right. I had to read several books on Feng Shui and take some adult education classes on interior and ergonomic design before I was confident in my decision. I am pleased with the results.

And the price to pay with so much hardware is all that clutter, wow. I like most of the hardware though, pretty nice.

As stated previously, I am a Messy Marvin. I tried to clean it up a bit by sleeving some of the cables, but I lost interest after repeatedly burning myself with lighter and soldering iron. The scar tissue is barely visible now due to my many hospital stays and operations. The hardware was well thoughtout in early 2004. That's when I first came to Bjorn3d. Been hanging out here on and off ever since. Much to their chagrin, I might imgine.

Interesting. How is the art selling?

That's a ton of stuff in that case, but whatever works works. Hope the art business comes through.
When did you last change the air freshener btw? =p

Haven't sold a thing yet. So many delays. Two plus years of feeling crappy because of kidney stones. Then six surgeries (Lithotripsy) in fourteen months. The last surgery in July took care of a 15mm stone in the left kidney.

Feeling better now but I left my job and health insurance at that time too. Stuck around at a job that was less than desirable just to keep the insurance. Unemployment set in for three months and now I'm contracted til the end of the year. I would prefer a permanent position, but this was good money and an opportunity to learn something new.

Once I get back to full time money, I still have a ways to go before I show. I still need a tent, display panels, and about 60-80 frames (some as large as 30x30 in.). I may be a tortoise to the hare but I am patient even though sometimes I think the hare is Stephen Hawking on a bad day.

It's been a while. Still waiting to get ISO 9001 certified.
