Installed my new XFX PV-T71G-UCF7 GeForce 7900GT 256MB without a hitch. Downloaded BIOS update and flashed the BIOS. When I tried to reinstall the drivers from the disc, I got an error saying something to the effect of the card not being XFX's. So I downloaded NVIDIA drivers and installed them. Got a bsod during install, some .dll problem. Restarted, and things seem ok, but now I'm leary.

Anybody else have this happen?

I hope you do not go down the same path I had to traverse. It resulted in a RMA of my 7950. It all started with bios flash. I then started getting artifacting and could never get the gpu to work right after that. Not saying it's the same thing, but sounds similar. Just keep a close watch on that thing for a little while.

That is an odd issue. Glad to hear everything is working correctly at the moment. Please keep us informed if there are any changes as your video card does come with the Lifetime warranty.

It has, in fact, now started artifacting, and has locked me up a couple times. I'll keep on eye on it.

Help, I have the same card, flashed the bios and am getting the same error:(

The fan speen seems to be fixed but I can't install the drivers. I can install the forceware drivers found on guru3d, but not the version downloaded from nvidia.

But I can not install the drivers for the card, windows just says plug and play monitor.

Do I really have to send this brand new card back because this bios flash sqrewed it up? Seems like it will just keep happening again and again if I don't want to hear the super loud fan.

Anyway to get the original bios back?
