The only problem I found was with the update to 1.3 or something.
I used to be soooo good at sniping on the first version and then all of a sudden I don't know with the new 1.3 peopel seem to move faster or my sniping is different...
I don't know...

COD2 used to crash on me like crazy when rendered in DX9 and maybe I should see if it still does.

Its a little ****ty to say this but playing in DX7 gives you a big advantage.
Its easier to see less smoke, snow or dust.
And its easier on the hardware at DX7...

Instead of DX7 it should be 8 at least. Going from 9 to 7 is a BIG down grade. Thats like going from BF2142 to Desert Combat. I use COD2 at version 1.0.

Watch out though if you get good at your version when you are going to use the patch the game will seem like a totally new game to you...

I never patch my games. Only exception was BF2 1.3 for bots.
