Fear: Extraction Point

Finally got around to installing this and play it a bit. I've had it for awhile now bot not enough time to try it out.

It looks great. Should if it's an expansion of FEAR. I don't know if I'm out of practice with FPS or not, but I'm finding it very hard. It takes almost a clip to put guys down and seems like 3 or 4 shots drop you. Might have to lower the difficulty setting. Not finding it as spooky as the original.

Didn't try the expansion yet, I am also not sure I will.
As I heard, it is not that good at all, nothing new about it in comparison to the original.

Fear extraction point Is a Hard Ass game to play .... i never in my life seen a game that can kick yo butt so quickly ... and i am loving every minute of it :D

Well, I'm glad it's not just me.

I've been going all out and attacking. Only using cover while attacking and it sems to help. If I lay back and try to get fancy, they seem to take me out like nothing.

Did everyone who found Extraction Point this hard find the original FEAR this hard? I thought it wasn't. You just gotta use the "washing machine" method so to speak; use the "slow down" ability, lay some headshots, and then hide behind cover, rinse and then repeat.

I'm gonna try the "F.E.A.R: Extraction Point" Extention Pack very soon, as I just manged to grab a copy of it. I already have the FULL F.E.A.R DVD, but I need to re-install it, since I've already finished F.E.A.R almost a year ago...

Though I've heard that 'Extraction Point' doesn't suggest anything new, but only more gamplay, I'm gonna try it anyway, as I really liked the first one!!! :grin:

FEAR is pretty good, but not my cookie though. Still, i suggest everybody to give it a try if you like FPS.

I found some areas of FEAR to be difficult, but I did what you said and got through most of it quite easily on the hard setting. Extraction seems alot more difficult. I died in the first real fight in the church at the beginning of the game. I thought I was just being careless but I've died a few times and haven't played alot yet.

the first one was challenging not hard . extraction can be ... and yes its just more gameplay but i also liked the plot .. so i in it for the story line too ...

I played and finished the Original...
It was good for my opinion...
I think that i'll start to play the expansion set right after i'll finish Splinter Cell : Double Agent!
If anyone plays the expansion set of F.E.A.R please tell me what's your opinion about it... :-)

Just finished Extraction Point yesterday. All in all, a worthy addition to FEAR. The spookier aspects get better as the game goes on. The battles are harder than the original, imo. If you like FEAR it's worth playing.

The only bad thing? The ending. Gotta be one of the worst endings in game history. Not to spoil anything for those who haven't finished yet, but I would have prefered them to just say to be continued. It was that blatant of a tie in.
