Thats awesome...I had heard about it but hadn't seen it in action. Another reason for me to get a Wii :)

HAHAHA that is too funny but HL2 with a wiimote would be too hard.

Actually I would really like PC games to use this technology.
Its really cool.
Of course aiming is hard but you get used to it.

check out the delay on the response, itd be so hard to aim and shoot real quick especially online

Exactly why i said what i said.

True, the response is not exactly sharp for that, but could you imagine if they improved it? That would be pretty sweet.

it will never be precise as your own movements, so dump that idea ;) its just too hard to get such response using infrared the data transfer is just too slow

Yea, but use the same technology as wireless keyboards and mice (bluetooth ect) and you gotta winner.

corded wouls be best although there are problems liek tangling, tripping, wire breaking etc. with that and bluetooth doesnt respon quick enough either, i think corded would have amaizing results, heck id even use it

5.8ghz wireless transfer would be plenty fast enoughl.

But 5.8GHz is prone to RF.

I don't know if bluetooth is really slow because only the pointer seems slow. Pressing buttons and remote orientation(electronic gyroscope) don't seem to have latency.

Hey i was wondering, i have built in infared on my old mobo. If i could find a Wii emulator would i be able to use the Wiimote to its full extent? And would it be better on games since im not using USB or anything to emulate the infared?

Wii emulators still don't exist and until you find a game doing the same thing as Phantasy Star Online with a fake server(Will allow you to extract any GameCube disc's content), you can't get any roms ;)

Infrared doesn't really matter, because the remote has the IR receivers. The bar on the top of the TV is an IR source, that's why my Christmas tree looks like a light show for my Wii remote.

All you need is two lights on the top of your computer monitor, and a bluetooth-compatible computer.

Well if its IR then id rather use whats onboard because it would probably be faster and delete the bar crap. I was told this is possible so thats why im asking. As for the emulator and roms, just give it time. A PS3 emulator is almost complteted so im giving it time.
