Well with all things there is good news and bad news. I am back from vacation and had a great time, that is the good news. The bad news is my father was using my pc while I was gone and now it does not work worth ****. So I am trying to save the XP load that is on it but if that does not work then I will rebuild it.
Keep getting the BSOD on boot up and so far nothing I have tried fixed it. So it looks like instead of getting all kinds of work done today I will be doing nothing but fixing my machine back up.
Vacation rocked, my wife an I are Disney Vacation Club owners which means we own a time share down there. We had 270 points a year in Old Key West and they run until 2045. Disney was having a special on buying into more of the vacation club at there new resort Coranoda Spings or what ever it is called. So we bought into it to get another 130 points a year. This should let us do a big cruise every other year with the kids and still go to Disney on the off cruise years for a week with the family.
HA HA, if you can not tell yet we love Disney. Ok back to working on the computer. Will be online all day once I get it up.
It's great to have you back, Scott.
Very nice to hear you had fun on your vacation.
I am going on a short vacation as well in two days.
Hope you'll get that computer working fast enough ;)

That's who was popping in on MSN all the time :). I knew it wasn't you (unless you faked your vacation ;) ) so i didn't want to disturb the person (thought it was one of the kids).
Before next vacation, image the drive Scott so you can get it back just as it was :). I wonder what he did with it though.

Welcome back Scott, glad your vacation was fun. Living right near DisneyWorld we only go once in a while for the kids, as my wife and I are kind of over it. :)
Hope you get your PC all working, maybe next time set up a second system for your father to use/mess up ;)

Glad to hear you had a good time. A much deserved break!
If you check out the EVGA motherboard forums you can see what probably happened to your system. Those SATA errors can be a killer. They just posted a beta BIOS that is supposed to help remedy the problem. I suggest you check it out.

Glade to see you back, sorry to hear about your system though, but I just finished doing the samething to my system from the ice storm and power outages.
You should have locked your main rig up somewhere and let him just use some old clunker............;)

BTW, about your computer problem, could it due to the EVGA mobo that you were using? Words around the web is that it has SATA problem and some instability problem.

Welcome back Scott and its good you enjoyed your vacation but only to return to a messed up computer. One reason why I never let my parents use my computer as everytime they touch it, they f@$% everything up.

Welcome back.. I hope you had a great trip, sorry to hear about the computer, hopefully that will be fixed. Also I thought the Christmas play was great, your children did a great job and it was a lot of fun working with them on it.
