Man XJ how the hell did we pull that on off? I think that is the big key in the game actually for a strategy. Get some one who can get armor going fast and then get 1or 2 people on your team with ariborne.

Have the ariborne guy save up points and then send the armour to the way behind enemy links in a blitz effect. Once in the enmy base area you have show airborne where to start dropping everything to help the armour take out the base.

XJ and I played to expert computers last night and they had us backed up to our bases defending. Then XJ got to the point of just being able to order up a tank. We used the first tank to help the anti tank guns at the bases to keep the jerries back. Then as he got more tanks we made our run for their base. 20 minutes latter jerries all gone becaseu they had no bases left.

Olin and XJ we should try to play this weekend and try this strategy on people.

That ended up working out great. I was getting frustrated because we were just sitting there barely holding them off as they slowly closed in on our bases, I knew we had to do something different. There was an little defended side road and I decided to roll up with my Pershing and 2 Calliope's. I plowed into his base and then all of a sudden airborne starts raining down from the sky, excellent!

The computer had a few Stug's out on the map, I'm glad they didn't pull them all back to their base right away or things might have turned out differntly. I didn't have any engineers with my tanks and if we had started to lose them we might have got pushed back.

BTW... I really love Pershings. :-D

I went to the Relic CoH forums and posted a complaint about the recent network issues - which was promptly deleted by a moderator. In dismay, I wrote a longer narrative with problems and solutions. It too was deleted. I finally decided just to list suggestions and solutions and leave the mention of any problems out of it... it is still up. Sadly, it seems like the Relic forum mod was feeling like he really was a Nazi.

At any rate, I am going to be on Sunday, but I am putting in a full day today.

I apologize for my last night absence, but tonight certainly will be achievable on a battlefield. :icon_tiphat:

With airborne infiltrated into wermacht base all is pretty fun until arriving of Ostwind Flakpanzer (personally always have one in backplane), otherwise hit retreat button on all infantry units :)

Attacking the HQ is the best strategy to employ. If you keep your opponent to busy defending his base (even if you are getting nowhere doing so and taking heavy losses), then that gives you more time to consolidate map sectors and build them up to increase your manpower/supplies. At some point you will have enough to overwhelm them, and in the very least it deprives them of the resources.

I've also found especially that once you have any form of artillery, once you can get a LOS on their structures and can simply bomb their tank facility+supply yard then that's the game. Except for the Airborne, none of the other Allied doctrines can afford to spend 190 fuel on a new supply yard + tank facility anytime soon, let alone another 90 after that for a Sherman. ;)
