Considering those sticks use the not so famous ProMOS chips, I was not surprised by your overclocks with the timings you used as most stick that use teh ProMOS chips can break 900MHz but not 1000MHz.

i agree, the ProMos chip is probably what's holding the OC back, still 1T is amazing for 960MHz and 2.2V I think.

That is a good overclock, especially for promos running at 1T :)

i hear that these run better on intel chipsets. ie. p5b dlx. overclockersonline.com (http://overclockersonline.com/index.php?page=articles&num=871) has a review where they hit 1000+ on the p5b dlx. i was seriously switching out my D9GMH teamgroup ram for this but it seems as though they arent as quick on nvidia chipsets. doh!

It seems like near 1gig is what this ram is capable, give or take a few MHz. The ram wont' set any record but for the tight timing, I think it's a great buy. I maybe getting an intel board which I can test the ram on. It's also possible that the 680's chipset is not just fully optimized in the bios yet.

Hi,

I'd like to ask Victor, who's the author of this review:
I have the same kit, but I let it run at 800 Mhz 5-5-5-16 with 1.85V (default setting from GA-P35-DS4).

I want to set it to 4-4-4-12 with 2.0V, is it stable? I ask this because when I consulted the Team Group support forum, they advised me to run 4-4-4-12 with 2.1V.

thanks in advance,
Chris

yes, as long as you set the voltage at 2.0/2.1V, you can run it at 4-4-4-12. As long as you follow the manufacture's spec's you should be fine. Some mobo do have problem running the ram at slightly tighter timing and sometimes a quick bios update will fix this, but my experience with teh Team's RAM is that it is fairly easy to run at that timing with 2.1v.
