Could iTunes sell non-DRM music in the future? That would be a pretty big change, but Steve Jobs has come out and advocated just that.

Read the entire letter here http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughtsonmusic/ He has a real convincing argument. I think the same can be applied to the movie industry as well.

People love to blame MS for DRM, but if the MPAA and RIAA didn't demand it, there'd be half or likely less of the DRM in Windows too.
It's nice Jobs did this, it might raise awareness a bit to whose really pulling the strings behind the scenes, even if I expect very little to be gained from it. Anyone still care to bet that within a year Apple will be caught in a legal sandwich between the MPAA/RIAA DRM proponents, and a large European legal battle or two for the abolition of Apple's DRM?
