Excerpt: "CoolIT Systems's Freezone is an all-in-one CPU cooling that is build base on thermostatic cooling technology. It has provided an excellent alternative for those who wish to keep their processor cool and system noise down, yet do not want to go through the trouble of installing water cooling kits. The unique "Chiller" also is environmentally safe and free from biological growth, hence no maintenance is required. Read more as we put the Freezone to a typical air cooling and see how well it performs and out thoughts on this new product."

thank you so much for your reply, we are always welcoming any criticism.

The unit does not just work at maximum fan speed, it works best at that speed, in fact even when it is set around 5000 when the noise is acceptable to my ear, it still is able to keep the CPU cooler than the air cooling setup. It's just that if you want the maximum cooling, then you would have to keep it running at the max fan speed and the live with the noise.

The product is good alternative solution of cooling simply because it is able to keep the CPU cool and it's easy to use and install and free from any maintanence.

The control panel's placement is not optimal but you don't really need ton constantly adjusting it so that's not too terrible, just something that I think CoolIT System should keep in mind with their next revision.

Once again, I do appreciate your comments and I purposedly point out these flaws so any potential buyer need to watch out before they make any purchase. I recommended it simply because it's easier to install and performs well compare to any liquid cooling solution.

Thank you very much for you taking your time reading the review and your reply. We at bjorn3d are NEVER saying things that the company wants us to say. I completely understand your concern about the noise and performance.

My intention of showing the maximum and minimum fan speed is to demostrate the best and worst case scenario of the efficiency of the Freezone. Given to the fact that we all have different tolerance of the noise, it won't be easy to judge the the best fan speed setting that will work for everybody. The performance at 5000rpm is not speculative, it's what I have observed during day to day use of the unit.

Granted, the Freezone is not perfect and has its flaw (and I try to point them all out with the review so any potential reader will be aware of such facts). If you wish me to test a particular setting, let me know, I can add that to the review and test it for you.

The CoolIT Freezone is adjustable... if you want to say to heck with the power bills, noise, and heat then it'll give you some very good performance if the TECs are adjusted to their maximum setting.

that's nice temp, darkorb, is that on your 3500+? (if so that's even more amazing since that's not new chip as the more cooler c2d).

possibly. We may get the eliminator for review as it was promised by the coolit, but we have not received anything, so I can't say for sure.
