have you experienced any noise coming from the card? like a long beep or a squeel ?

i also wanted to know if i hot wired the fan connectors and plugged them directly onto the mobo, do i still have to plug the 3pin connector to the cooler of the card (the connector found in the cooler itself)?

I didnt experience any special noise from the TEC cooler, not like the noise I got from the big MACS CPU cooler which I reviewed earlier and that also used TEC-cooling. I will pop back the card tonight for some testing so I will make sure to listen extra carefully.

As for your other question .... that's a good question. I guess I could try to boot it up without it hooked in just to see if it complains. Not sure if it will work.

For a review the cards usually are used for at least a few weeks, preferably even longer. I've installed/de-installed this card on/off in the last few months and thus used it quite a lot and so far it has not given me any grief at all. Your mileage can always vary. I'll see if I can get Sparkle to comment on this.
