It's not just our home that needs a good springcleaning. Our PC and peripherals accumulate dust and grime at a steady clip, and require ongoing attention just like any other frequently used appliance. We need to clean the keyboard, mouse, and screen. Of course, we shouldn't neglect the interior as well. Dust buildup inside our PC's case can lead to overheating and component failure. Follow this simple cleaning schedule to keep your machine
spick-and-span.

Step 1: Once a week, decrud your keyboard :-

Step 2: Once a month, clear the fans :-

Step 3: Once a year, air it out :-

Rude, your opinion I guess, I'm just stating that I for one don't need any advice on cleaning a system.
If you need help, then good for you, but don't go calling other people rude just because they are up-to-date.........;)

LOL.........pretty good idea if you have a good KB, but I think it would distroy the cheap one that I own..................;) Besides, a dishwasher would play hell on the aluminum.

i take my keyboard apart piece by piece and clean it out if its really bad (like when my sister spilled coke on it), other than that its pretty obvious cleaning a pc is important

No offence sushrukh but you would have to be a complete computer noob not to know how to clean out a PC of dust and I am sure no one in here fits that bill,... other than me; ah ha ha ha :dielaffin:

If you use dust filters you don't have to clean as often and it depends on how dusty the area where your rig is located, so cleaning times could differ.

Ya, i know Werty no one here fits that bill.It should be for complete noobs (like u've said too) but believe it or not Werty, i've seen many of my customers don't clean their PCs untill i tell them that their PCs have accumulated dust & needs to be cleaned. Many of them have quite a knowledge about PCs & they also know what dust can cause to their systems but i've seen them staying indifferent about this matter. So, i've posted this thing.I think that there r people, who don't take this matter seriously. So,as u said, it's for complete noobs & also for those who take this issue lightly.

The question is how many noobs would actually clean their PC considering they are noobs?

I think very small amount of them do clean their PCs regularly.
