Excerpt: "We at Bjorn3D are becoming quite the experts on NVIDIA's 8800 series of graphics cards. With the inclusion of today's review this will make our tenth different 8800 series card from five different manufacturers.
Foxconn (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/) is no stranger to graphics cards as they manufacture an extremely high percentage of all the NVIDIA based cards on the market. When we say manufacture we're talking taking the bare PCB and turning it into a finished graphics card. The finished products are then shipped to the appropriate company who in turn puts its name and logo on the card and encloses it in the appropriate packaging to ship to distributors and various retail outlets."

Great reviews Scott. Just wondering what all the fuss is about regarding the nvidia 8800 drivers for Vista and such. Is the problem hype or is it a real problem?

SLI ofr DX10 is not working yet. But I have no DX10 games yet to complain about.

At the moment, the driver is not fully optimized in SLI and in a few games, as well as teh control panel. The problem is not specific to the 8000's cards but to the all nvidia products. Unfortunately it may take nvidia a bit longer to really get all the kinks worked out, but rumor has it that the new driver should be out soon, so keep our fingers crossed.

Well this is one solid card.
In many benchmarks it was almost equal to the XFX 8800GTX "XXX" edition.
Foxconn has really made an awesome card there.
If I were to buy a 8800GTX I would get a Foxconn.
Simple I love the controller and the design on the box has really caught my attention compared to others.
Its "special"

Is it true that nvidia is going to come out with a revision to the 8800 series - ie - 8900 series with gddr4? Or was that just marketing hype?

Great review! I have found that your reviews are very well done, and give a much better overall impression of what the product's capabilities are, as compared to other review sites.
Having said that, is there any chance of you doing an "across-the-board" comparison of the various 8800GTX cards from the various manufacturers?
The prices of these cards require a pretty decent investment cash wise, and it would be great to see exactly how well each of the 8800GTX cards perform against each other.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks very much for your kind words! As for your proposal that sounds like an intersting idea, the only problem is that out of the eleven 8800 cards we've reviewed they are spread across 4 diffeerent reviewers and about 3,000 miles. Unfortunately we all have different review rigs and that would cause a problem if we all tried to do it in a group capacity...We'll certainly consider it for the future.

In several of the reviews the message is: Make sure it fits in youre cabinet (os something). So how big is it then?
Thanks for the review though..
