I was poking through the nvidia control panel for my crummy little 7600GS replacement card today when I noticed an option I have never seen before and I have no idea what it is.

I'm running Vista and i'm using the 101.41 beta drivers. I've never seen this option on my 8800GTX card and I've never seen it on this card before today. Any idea what it could be for? Google hasn't told me a thing...
Anyone heard of this?

April 17th is when the 8800 Ultra, 8600, and all the rest are launched officially. I expect they'll give full details on all new software "features" at that time.

I'm not sure if you can run ntune on non nvidia mobo's. Wouldn't hurt to try.
I was just messing around with some overclocking on my 7600GS and I clicked on the ElementX checkbox to disable it and then I clicked on it again to re-enable it. Look at the interesting dialog box that popped up. Hmm....

Okay, now that is REALLY interesting... I bet it adjusts voltages somewhere amongst other things... :whistler:
nTune is designed to work on NVIDIA chipsets. However you can install nTune on your Gigabyte board, and it will still report some basic settings + information regarding the graphics card/system. I've done this.
