Some people just don't have a clue.
I used to have a friend "used" the kinda dumb ass that would always say that he was right and that everyone around him didn't know jack.

He's already made up his mind, and there is nothing that you can do to convince him otherwise. Ultimately, it's his money to spend, regardless. His 7900GS SLI setup will do for now, but he will have a problem eventually with DX10 (if he still has this setup when DX10 will be the standard).

Sheesh! You can lead a horse to water, but...

One thing I have learned over the years is that most people (some more so than others) are miserable at learning from someone else's experiences. Most of the time they end up learning the same lessons the hard (and expensive) way. This guy GodSpeed ia a perfect example of one of these.

We try and pass on our hard-earned experiences to others. And hope that we have not wasted our efforts by passing it on to the few rare people who actually listens and takes the time to do some real research before making a costly decision. Those are the people who make offering our experiences worthwhile.
