I own a 7900GT and am currently considering getting a Sony HDTV to use as both a tv and main pc monitor, it has HDMI inputs on it as well as a analog VGA for pc. Is it possible to get HD quality from my pc games on this screen with the 7900GT or not? If it is possible, what do I need in order to do this. Thanks a lot for any input on the matter.
here is a link to the screen i plan to buy

Im told its possible to use DVI to HDMI converters, but i wonder if its also possible to use the HDTV output on the back of the 7900 or am I wrong in assuming that HDTV port can be used in such a manner?

You will need a dvi-i to HDMI converter they cost around £6 i had to buy one aswell when i wanted to use my tele. You wont get amazing resolutions out of an lcd tv nothing like you get out of a tft lcd monitor, i believe HD tv's are mostly around 1336 x 768. So games will end up looking worse as they are not built to utilise HD or 720p/1080p unless they are on the console's. Ude be best off buying a cheaper t.v and a monitor if you are from the UK Check this website, this is where i get all of my stuff.

Hope that helps you.
