Hello and welcome.
Whenever you change motherboards, you have to do a Windows repair or a fresh Windows install.

Howdy. I have to agree with Werty. Today's Operating Systems must be specifically installed to the motherboard... if you ever change the motherboard then you must reinstall the OS to avoid the likelihood of those problems.

The drive shows up in your device manager, but not in your My computer? If so you haven't formatted your new drive yet. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. Click "Disk Management" and it should show up in there as an unformated drive. You can format it from in there or use the software utility that comes from the hard drive manufacturer's website.
