Received these drivers directly from Nvidia's India department Yesterday.They have told me that this driver Gives a big boost in 3d-applications and games that they have tested.

I donno any detail info about this driver coz i'm currently dwlding it.

The Rar file link below includes drivers for Xp / Vista 32 / Vista 64.

Link :- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2HI42FPE

If u don't wanna dwld all the drivers for those 3 Operating Systems,then u can dwld any one of your choice.

Windows Xp 32 bit : http://rapidshare.com/files/26441524/WinXP.exe.html
Windows Vista 32 bit : http://rapidshare.com/files/26441068/Vista32.exe.html
Windows Vista 64 bit : http://rapidshare.com/files/26440749/Vista64.exe.html

Let me know if this driver is any good & if they perform a lot better than the previous drivers which Nvidia is claiming.

Do you happen to know which cards are supported or if it uses a moddified INF file?

I am using v158.16 drivers but so for they are great and performance has increased a bit.

EDIT: I found information on these drivers and supposely the original INF supports the whole nVidia lineup.

Ya, i've just downloaded this new driver file & it supports all cards.Yes, it has inbuilt support for even G98 series cards & it also supports the 8800 Ultra.

There are three drivers in the first link for Vista 32,64 & 2000/XP & all the drivers support all cards even some unreleased cards too.

For ur reference, i've upped the nv_disp.inf file so that u can be sure that what a huge amount of cards are supported by this driver.

Some New additions are

NVIDIA_G80.DEV_0194.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra"
NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0402.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT"
NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0400.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS"
NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0421.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT"
NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0422.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS"
NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0423.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS"
NVIDIA_G98.DEV_06E0.1 = "NVIDIA G98"

As, i got this driver directly from Nvidia,i don't think this is a modded driver.Let me know your findings.

A moddified INF file can fix that.

Darkorb it's a new driver for all the 6/7/8 series cards & also they are for Xp & Vista.I've already installed this driver for my 6200 on WinXP.

Below are two screenshots of my PC running the 6200 on XP using this new driver

So, dwld it & enjoy.It'll work on XP & Vista 32/64 for all Nvidia cards now & some future cards too.

Going to install it now, and ill tell you if i see a performance increase or not :)

Edit: I thought i posted, damit it was a long one

I isntlaled the new drivers, but its kinda messed.

The backround didnt change until 1 min after i clicked "ok"

And when opening games ie. CSS, says my driver is out of date.

and when installing the driver, it said that it is not compatible with 6800 series, install anyway? and i did yea

But i swapped back to 93.71, and it feels more stable to me. The driver menu also looked very plain and unorganized in the 159. w/e

I won't be able to download this until 2 more hours from the time of this post. Let me know what kind of performance these drivers give.

Take a quick peak at the guru3d.com forums for some results.

It shouldn't happen that way.My 6200 is working fine & i've got more than 300 in my 3D Marks benchmark.Dark, did u uninstall your previous driver b4 installing this driver ? Anyway it's your choice to install it or not.

Installed these drivers for my 7900gt under winXP SP2 got about 100 more points at stock speed under 3dmark06 and the same pointage at oc speeds (670/1800). Haven't tried frapping NWN2 or CoH but they seem to do the job well enough.
Not so crazy about the new interface but if these drivers (build 165) work under Vista as well then it's acceptable.

It's strange coz after reading westy's post, i've tried to run F.E.A.R.No problems here & I've just completed playing the Dark Messiah Might & Magic.Superb game.

Westy, did you make sure to uninstall your old drivers first before updating? ;)

Ye, i uninstalled em through device manager. I reinstalled the forceware 93 one they have on their site then thought id try the 158 that werty suggested, when i went to install it said
'the NVidia install program could not locate and drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit. Help? hehe

EDIT: I reinstalled the 165 driver and this time i set all fear graphics to recommended and tried again and it worked so im thinking last time i tried i must have set some settings at values it didnt like. Still not sure why 158 didnt work at all

EDIT: FEAR restarting my computer again and havnt changed any settings. Really annoying. Gonna try the 158 again. Is there a free program that cleans up uninstalls for you?
