I have a 8800GTS PCIE 640meg XFX graphics card and when running games I get lockups and freezes. I've followed all the known problem solving measures without luck.

My 7900GT PCIE XFX card displays dots on my lcd and artifacting is nuts, sometimes it covers most of the screen. Yes tried all the known problem solving measures without luck.

My 7300GT AGP XFX card when running games just crashes to desktop or restarts the computer. Tried different drivers with no luck.

My 6200 XFX AGP card when running games just crashes to desktop or restarts the computer. Tried different driver with no luck.

All 4 cards are still under 1 year old. I've done alot of reading about the issues I'm having and im pretty sure i can rule out other components as it seems to be a brand issue. I got myself a 8800GTS different brand of course and had no problems at all. I've given up on testing or trying to fix these issues with the XFX cards because i've tried basically everything i could find on the net.

I would recommend you start a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com and ensure you list your system specs for them, and then let me know the ticket number. Unusual to have such problems, but most of us have seen even more bizarre situations.

An update on the 8800GTS, its working fine. Dont trust memtester, it reported my ram as ok no errors at all after a few passes but it was actually the ram. Now i need togo test the 7300 and 6200 again. the 7900 will need to be replaced as i see its a common thing for the 7900s cards.

When using Memtest its best to let it run for a long time to help find memory problems.

XFX Support, is there a recommened time, such as 4 hours, or 8 hours to run memtest before it is safe to rule the RAM out?

Whenever I need to test to see if any of my memory is bad I usually run two cycles, testing one stick at time.

I recommend at least two cycles like Werty316 stated, using one stick at a time.
