Hey I used to have an eVGA 7900GT KO and when I used it on my HDTV I could resize the picture to fit my HDTV.
It gave me a resolution of something x 668 or something like that.
Now when I try to do that with my new 8800GTS from XFX there is NO WAY i can resize for some reason.
I resize it but to no avail it always return to the default 1280*720
Its sad because I can't watch movies anymore nor can I play games since the picture always shows as too big for my screen so I lose a lot of my picture.

Now it might be a driver problem, I don't know but I know I used to be able to do it with my other card.
Is there a utility anyone here knows for resizing or whatever?

Answered my question myself
8800 do not support overscan compensation.

for a workaround if anyone needs it.

I do know Nvidia is very aware of this issue and many of us are waiting for a resolution so we can get back to watching movies while we game or surf the net. :)

Its sad because so far I can resize it yes but the quality is so discusting with the little hack I found.
Let's say I go on the net all the letters are ugly and all.
I know its a nvidia drivers problem and not XFX.
But I thought since you guys knew a few things you could inform me.

I checked and even with the 158.43 Beta we can still not utilize the Overscan feature. Keeping my fingers crossed that the next version will let us.
