From: Boardwalk superintendents
To: Labour Standards in Quebec
Subject: Unpaid overtime
The dispute is over the fact that during summer time the superintendents
would have to monitor and secure the area of the four buildings during the fireworks
without getting paid for the overtime.
Also during the vacation time one of the superintendant has to stay home and
work for 15 days without leaving the building, on call and in charge.
After many discussions with Mr. Mark Miller (Supervisor) and Ms. Danilla Vendetti (Coordinator)
we have come to the conclusion that a settlement would have to be brought forward
to the Labour Standards of Quebec.
A brief summary of how boardwalk works.
The appartement is accesory to the superintendant.
The conditions are to work on call one night out of two and one weekend out of two.
This will pay the appartement.
