Installed new card!!

got my 8800 running!!!

some quick benchies, resulution is 1680x1050


css : maxed 140
cod2 maxed : pinned at 60, doesnt go higher, in game console problems
COH : maxed 70 average

gonna try Fear, TDU, BF2, Ghost Recon, R6, Lost Planet, and CNC3

idle temps are

GPU : 44
GPU DIODE: 53
GPU MEMORY: 44
GPU AMBIENT: 40


just checked the clocks, and my core is 576 and memory is 850. is that right? its a EVGA 8800GTS 640. no superclocked or anything

Oh so you went with getting both.

Anyhow $365 is quite the deal for a 8800GTS 640MB over on NCIX.

Run some 3DMark05 & 3DMark06 benches.

I forget the RAM but the Core default for a GTS is 500Mhz. 575Mhz is the typical factory overclock for a GTS card, superclocked/XXX and extreme models will clock still higher now.

ytea the one i oredered is a stock one, but the clocks on it are the Superclocked, so thats pretty good :)


ran 3dmark06, got 8k, alot better than my 2.6k i had before

congrat man, enjoy the new card.

Check the part number on the card and it will tell you if it's OC version or regular. Also register the card to be sure that it's not already registered and returned product. If you got a new card for the regular price, tha'ts a great deal.
