really? i bought it at staples lol its some sort of stock OCed 6600 with 512 mb vista calls it a GS when i read your post i went and grabed the box and no its not labeled as on just a 6600OC the core clock is stock 450mhz rams dual 400mhz. 300mhz GPU is normal on this card is it not?

Anyhow you can't flash your 6600 to a 6600GT.

Just oveclock your 6600 if you want more performance.

Only way to find out is to give it a try and see if you can get it to 450Mhz.

6600 to 6600GT no, but early generation 6200's to 6600 yes.

Since you want to flash your vga bios so badly, you could try modifying your own using NiBiTor. (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Video-Tweak/NVIDIA-BIOS-Editor.shtml) I recommend finding your maximum overclock with software first, and then just putting in the clocks in the bios. For a beginner I wouldn't mess with anything else.

Flashing=Always at your own risk! :icon_tiphat:
