i cant play FEAR cranked, lost planet i get 33fps fully maxed in the benchmarks
rainbow 6 is around 30fps during gameplay
and the dirt demo cranked i dont get too many fps above 25.
whats goin on??? i play at 1680x1050

Try updating the drivers, Nvidia is still working out some kinks.

Aren't the games that you listed much more graphically intensive (or can be) than CoH? IE: FPS VS RTS... seems to me that you can turn on more "goodies" in a FPS grahpics-wise than an RTS... but I don't have a G80 card, so I'm just speculating :?
Perhaps it's the games themselves? IE: need a patch?

What OS?
Try updating your games to the latest patches.
In FEAR compare your results with soft shadows turn on and off.
What results does FEAR give you (min/max/avg)?
COH can be a resource hog when all setting are maxed out.
The frames you are getting seem normal with everything "maxed out" but if you are still unsure I find drivers v16x.xx are the best of the bunch so give one of them a try. Also its normal for Lost Planet to run that slow.

the problem is you bought an eVGA card :p

Also you may want to run DriverCleaner and then install the new drivers incase the old ones are currupted.

whats wrong with the EVGA card? oh do u mean cuz this site is xfx ? :P
well, the evga was cheapest by far $365, and i got the superclocked version for that price, :P

The main reason for me buying my Evga, is it was cheap, and the stock heatsink covered the ram as well...

CSS CRANKED 16QXAA i get 125Very normal. I get those frames on CoH with my 7950GT on 1280x1024 ;) Actualy cranked i believe thats above average. For CSS 16xAA and 125fps. Yup, seems right.

Try gaming with something really graphics intensive for a while. Keep an eye on your temps.

interesting, i cant even do 3dmark06 anymore without hard locking before the 3rd graphic test, the one with the flying ship and the dragon

EDIT: you probably pushed your GPU overclock too far.
You could try nVidia GeoForm demo to stress your card but I am not sure if it supports the 8 series.

Ask your self this question: What do you normally do when a overclock is unstable?
Try lowering your CPU overclock.

my cpu was fine, orthos stable, and 3dmark06 stable,
i then oc'd my gfx, and it ran fine. then i restarted and tried again with the default clock gpu and it froze
