Does the XFX 7900GS AGP (450M model) contain fan speed control? If yes, how can it be activated? The fan on my card always runs at full speed in 2D and in 3D mode, so it is too loud to me when I'm not using 3D apps or games. I've tried some tools like Rivatuner, but none of them worked to slow down the fan. Is there possibly a BIOS update available/necessary to activate fan speed control? Or does anybody know a workaround, e.g. BIOS patching with Nibitor? I would be very happy to find a way to slow down and silence the fan in 2D mode! I'm using Windows XP Pro with the Nvidia 93.71 forceware driver.

Thanks, King Crimson

I apologize but its my understanding that the 7900GS fan speed can not be adjusted. If I find out otherwise, I will let you know.

If it is so, I would be a littlebit disappointed. A modern graphics card without fan speed control is not that what I would call high-tech. My three years old 5900XT card had such a fan speed control. However, the card is worth buying for its 3D performance if you want to upgrade an older AGP system.
