Its funny cause not long ago i was reading a thread here about a contest for a new logo (which i think became the current one?) when I was looking for the logo ot copy and paste for my entry into last months contest, and now we have a new logo contest. Lucky i have holidays coming up to spend some time on it

Scott could you specify perhaps what kind of dimensions your after? Just checking in case you only have a certain amount of space etc that you can display it, that kind of thing if you catch me

what size? (I'll give you a logo 5x that little one in the upper-left coner, and you can downsize it for your use, its just better to have bigger in case you want to use it anywhere else...)

You need to fix the aspect ratio on the smaller pics unless you purposely wanted it to look distorted like that.

This logo from the top of page is 250x78 giving it a ratio of 125:39 lol. So, work off of those values, if they help

So, let me try and get this straight. We can enter either a banner for the top and/or a logo to replace just the paw and/or new logos for the golden bear/seal of approval (im assuming including the new logo that will replace the paw).

And, are we trying to stick with the old colour theme (such as the blue heading bars etc, or could we suggest changes to those as well...)?

Would like clarification so I know where to concentrate my efforts

The paw and Bjorn3D.com are the logo.

That is what we are looking for you to replace with something new.

And by the way, it is Bjorn3D a capital D at the end and the .com does not have to be in the new logo.

Thanks, It took me a while to design those. I started with a memory that I burned out 2 years ago because I didn't put it into the memory slot right. (One part was out). Since I had nothing to do with that memory I decided to model it in Cinema 4D. Then I played around the with some colors and everything else one Paint Shop Pro 11. Here is the original picture if you are wondering. I rendered it in Cinema 4D. Do you think I should include the original color ones too?

Sorry for being off topic, let me just explain some things for you.
Cinema 4D is not a program that you can learn in a few days or weeks. I have been working with Cinema 4D for about 2 years now and I am still not a professional, as a matter a fact I haven't used it for a while now and it is hard to remember how to do the things. For a lot of modeling you have to use logic, and see how it is the most simplest way and most designable way to create something. Now I started using 3DS MAX 9 and I can tell you that it is not the easiest thing to learn. Preety Difficult. I have been also working with a Professional program called Solidworks. I created a wheel in it and then set up a scene in Cinema 4D and then Rendered the image in Cinema 4D. Here is what I came out with. Some people say that it is preety realistic, what do you think?

I know, I was thinking about creating some other hardware, but that also takes an extremelly long time to model. Sometimes taking a picture of something does not work that great. I believe the RAM that I have modelled took over 1 hour to create, and imagine a video card or a something else. i might make a Processor or a Fan though. :)

Well I don't cuncider myself really good, I just posted my best work that I had. You see since I am only 16 years old, I want to learn as much as I can from this because when I grow up I want to work in the film industry or be a designer, and if I start working with these really early, then when I get to the point when I am going to want to get a job somewhere, I will be really good at it. :)

Well do you know what started my interest in this? My sister who is now 18 started looking for some sholarships three years ago, and she found a scholarship where they were giving away $500 for Grand Prize and other runner up prizes in money. I started working with that program but I did not win the first time, after anothe quarter of the year past and I have submitted 3 movies, and all three of them got me altogether $650, then on the next contest I won my next $200. Hehe, I was still 14 on this picture. http://www.animoids.com/ninth_competition_entries.jsp Unfortunatelly the contest has been discontinued, otherwise I would still be enter it. :smile: Then after that I started getting interested in Cinema 4D and more complex Desing and Animation. It just got stock in me. :)

Ah, trust me you do not want to start with that program. It is pain in the but to model in that program. It is called Animoids though. There is another program which is specifically created for kids, and it is called Cosmic Blobs. Preety fun, but you do not have the real modeling power in these programs than in Cinema 4D or 3DS MAX 9. I know that those two programs are incredibally hard to learn, but if you start with the tutorials that you can find on www.c4dcafe.com, then you will learn a lot and also have fun with it.

Oh, just so you know, when I still used to have my ATI x850xt Platinum Edition video card, I got that from entering a contest on the Cosmic Blobs website with the cosmic blobs program. What we had to do is design a Lotus car, and since I was the lucky one to have the best entry I won the card and many other prizes like an iPod Shuffle, Lotus Shirt, and a Remote Control Car. I don't want to be concieted though. This was like 2 years ago though, and now I have the Creative Zen Vision M: 30GB mp3 player.

You guys have done some amazing work. As far as I can see most of those logos would fit perfectly on the side.

This will not be easy at all ....

Really now, I'm sorry that you understood me wrong, I didn't stealed peti1212's idea of using a video card in the logo, but hell yeah his last work motivated me to do something better.

Anyway, in the end it doesn't really matter if I used his ideas or not, all it matters is that this website get the best possible logo out there.

No problem at all, and they are really good designs as well. I also like Blue Mood Dragon's one. It is quiet interesting, and great design that shows what the whole site is all about. Well maybe ;-)
