I have been looking around myself just out of curiosity... I cannot find one anywhere anymore, just the "Extreme" models which are at 650MHz?

Hmmmm, well here it says pre-order but no estimated time.

I'm waiting to hear back from them as to when and how long the wait is.

When I get back to the office I will find out when you can expect to be able to find more of the XXX versions.

Oh much appreciated!

Thats a fairly hefty overclock on there, do you think there is much room for more mhz on water?

I sent an email over to my European sales team asking when we can expect more. Once they get back with me I will let you all know.

Any news?

I also heard there may be some decent price cuts on the 8800 cards soon?

Only cuts I know about already occured on some cards, about at $60-80 range.

It hardly matters. The (over) price on this card at Scan in the UK is £433.43. That equates to $776 at todays exchange rate.
Don't think I'll be getting an SLI setup with a couple of these anytime soon. :frown:

NO! I was wrong. The Ultra XXX is £481.74. That is an eye watering $863. Ouch !!!!!

Hi thanks, I bought the XFX 8800 Ultra XXX version and it is actually 685mhz out of the box!!

They advertise at 675 but even my box says 685/2300!

Its running great and I may get another since I previously had 2 x Gainward GTX's and I just bought a new 24" DEll.

As most of you know I personally don’t work in R&D but do know they take overclcoking very seriously, which is why we set the standard when it comes to overclocked video cards. All our overclocked video cards go though a strenuous process to find the limit we can push them to. Occasionally during that process I would imagine they can push some video cards well past the XXX speeds and they are still very stable. This would help explain why sometimes you will come across cases like yours where your video card is actually faster then the advertised speed.

To be honest with you I would probably hold off on the second one. I have the Dell 24" and a E6700 at 3.3GHz. You can play just about any game with the Ultra XXX just fine.

NVIDIA will have a new highend product for the late fall and I would wait for that. It is supposed to be up to 3x faster than the 8800GTX is now. If it is only twice as fast it will still rock and be a better investment than 2 Ultras.

Thanks Scott, I ended up getting the 2nd one and it is indeed overkill for games but I like benching as well.;-)

Im trying to find out what the warranty situation is here in the UK if you remove the air cooling does it void the warranty?

Thanks

Keep checking Scan.co.uk

They get the xxx version in every few days.

Be warned they are the 685/1674/2300 versions and I don't know anybody who has one without freezing problems. Theres a whole host of us over on the Scan hexus forums with the problem.

Hi,

Did you read my post above.

Ihave two of these cards are mine are stomping so far!
No problems at all and they are scoring some massive 3dmark scores.

I was just wondering about the warranty situation on replacing air with watercooling.

Nobody has had a problem in 3dmark06, myself get over 13000 points with a single card configuration.
Who said they weren't fast cards when working ???? I didn't

I just think the 675mhz versions seem to be more stable and thats all i was trying to achieve in puting across in my post

LOL, thats me laughing at XFX European tech support.
LOL, thats the sound of the guys who bought other branded cards laughing at me and several other 685mhz XFX owners.

Sorry for the tone of this post and to go off topic, but your P**s taking response was actually very surprising.
