Vista 7900GS AGP slow aero bad media center

Is anyone else having very slow aero performance with Vista + 7900GS AGP and using the 158.24 or 158.18 driver? When I do a Windows Flip it gets choppy, and my media center is useless because of the performance. Games play almost fine, but it seems like it is having a problem with 3d overlay on 2D. I just replaced an ATI with this last week, my ATI X850XT ran vista fine, no problems like this at all. I thought maybe it just because i had remnants drivers left over so I just got done rebuilding my machine and performance is the same on a clean install with the 158.24 drivers from Nvidia.... what gives? Why is the windows flip and media center interface slow when 3d gaming is not? I cannot even watch recorded TV because it is so choppy. As I said before it ran fine on the same exact rig minus the Nvidia card plus my ATI. Please help.

Please list you system specs as well. I would recommend starting a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com then let me know the ticket number. All games play fine, your problem only likes in 3d overlay? By rebuilding your system I take it you ment you did a clean install of the OS?
