So a couple of reviews of the thermalright coolers have named them the best VGA cooler around. However, their sales guys don't seem to want to answer my question. :(

I am trying to find out if the cooler will fit on this new 7950GT AGP card. It is not listed on thermalright's "compatibility" page so I am assuming that its just too new of a card for them to know.

Does anybody here know?

Thanks
Greg

It has nothing to do with the newness of the AGP part.
Due to the way they made the 7950's in general, you can't get a after-market replacement heatsink/fan. You have to stick with the stock cooler as far as I know. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, because I've been looking for one myself and "you can't" is all I've come up with.

When you want to replace after-market VGA cooler, you have to be careful. Most of them interfere with capacitors or other components. Furthermore, when you came back to claim your card, they always refuse due to against warranty rules.

100% corrrect.

There's no aftermarket cooler that works on the 7950GT AGP card. None at all. The non-standard mount holes on the XFX 7950GT make it impossible to mount anything shipping to date. Good luck!
