Hey...I was surfing the web, and i came across this article....
Its about the ATI Radeon R700, and it says that apparently now, the big GPU will be replaced by a cluster of smaller GPUs.

THE ATI R600 will represent the last of it's breed, the monolithic GPU.

It will be replaced by a cluster of smaller GPUs with the R700 generation. This is the biggest change in the paradigm since 3Dfx came out with SLI, oh so many years ago.

This sounds like a great idea, and in my opinion ATI did a good decision, because now the GPUs will not be as hot, and they will need less cooling and it will be as fast as before. At least that's what I think. Very cool news. ;-)
