Hey guys, I recently started looking for a job (2 months ago) and I got an interview time today, althought it says the email was sent on the 28th, I only recieved it today, on the 30th, and the interview is supposed to be today, on the 30th, so any ideas if the manager will still take an interview with me? Thanks :keepfolding:

Never hurts to ask. Though I would inquire if they tried to reach you by phone? Email is never a sure fire way to contact someone. Especially if it is time sensitive.

It went well! she said shell call me by this coming saturday, and does anyone know if my dads job has anything to do with me getting the job or not? it seemed as if that was one of the more important questions :)

If he works at the same place where you had the interview, it can have an influence.

In some instances knowing people helps when trying to get a job.

Heh, the most common saying in the place I used to live before I moved off to uni was "It's not what you know, it's who you know". Basically sums up how you get a job there

Actually thats true anywhere...often times who you know affects whether you get the job or not more so than what you know. Sad, but true.

I'm sorry I won't be able to post a lot from Belgium, since they charge more than 10 EURO per one hour (!!!) in the hotel I'm staying in, so I'm certainly NOT going to pay that sum of money, so I'll have to live with spare free minutes of FREE INTERNET I have in the our office in brussles...:frown:
