Hi xfxsupport
Just want to know why the board that "design for overclock" have vdimm only up to 2.1V ???
Many premium memory for overclocking have voltage 2.2-2.4V for standard use and need more for overclocking.

This was most likely done to differentiate the different levels of boards offered.
650i Ultra -> 680i LT -> 680i SLI.
On a related note it has been tested and proven the speeds above 800MHz offer very little (2-5%) in crease in performance.
Additionally, at 800 MHz (unlinked) with an OC'ed CPU I got excellent results in my memory bandwidth tests.

sorta like the m2n-e, advertised as a great OC'er, and when everyone found out that asus limited the vdimm to 1.9v, well, deception all around. You can say that marketing is a bit sketchy sometimes.

That's sort of my gripe I have with the 680i LT board, most of the voltages are cut way back, and some of the adjustments are dropped altogether.
On my cheap ole 650i board I'm now running (P6N SLi-Fi) for example, the Vdimm goes all the way up to 2.8v which is fantastic and "ALL" the other voltages have a max setting basicly as high as the 680i boards and in some cases much higher than the 680i LT boards, plus they have a few additional setting that the 680i LT doesn't have.
On a positive note though, I could get just as high of a stable CPU OC on the 680i LT board as I did on the P6N SLI, but the overall max OC was slightly lower.
These reff boards need to have their voltages increased a bit IMHO.

Can't these voltage issues be resolved with a new BIOS? If enough people complain, I'm sure XFX will do something about it since they just joined the mobo race.
Those running high performance RAM from a good company shouldn't really have to worry anyway. My Crucial Ballistix are Under-voltaged at 2.1V(should be at 2.2V) but it's running at 1000MHZ anyway. Passed Orthos(1 hour) and memtest86(4 hours) with no errors. NO LIES!

The Bios come from Nvidia as these are all Nvidia reff boards, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent ............;)
