so i just mailed out my new MOBO and RAM:frown: couldn't put my finger on what exactly was the problem( bad ram or incompatability) so i know have whats left of the computer on the floor well a few major organs are in transplant:frown: I AM STUCK ON A P4 524 with 1 gig of DDR 400 and an x1650:frown: i needed somewhere to whine. sorry if you dont like my thread, heartless ******* lol

I feel for you, I know exactly what it's like having to send stuff in for RMA, it seems like they take forever sometimes..............:(

nope. ASUS back to NCIX the new one is going to be the A1 revision EVGA 680i hopefully. RAM went back to mushkin anyone know the turn around time there?

I can really understand how you feel! It really sucks to be without your rig for a long time!!! :frown: But don't worry, I'm pretty sure you'll have your new/RMAed system up and running pretty soon, and after some time you'll totally forget you had problems! :grin:

I personally think it's more like a faulty RAM, as you already know that I have EXACTLY the same RAM and same MOBO and they working pretty well in my rig...

Anyway, after you RAM will be RMAed, they'll work like charm with the eVGA 680i, as it's a much better mobo then the ASUS P5N-E. So, it's better getting this one, if you can afford the extra money, of course.

Don't worry, I have a friend that uses exactly the same Mushkin XP2-8500 RAM on his eVGA 680i Rev A1 and they work flawlessly, even at 1066MHz, without any problems!!! :grin:

So, don't worry, I'm pretty sure you'll be very satisifed soon, just be patient!!! ;-)

yea, dont realy figure this mobo to have a true compatability problem so much as my board itself just not likeing the volts it takes to run the mushkin sticks. anyways, fairwell to asus, we had a god run. oh yea, and i dont mind waiting aslong as when shes back up and running everythings right! i have the patients of a jedi knight. LOL turns out my lil sis's computer aint so bad after all. this P4 running vista ultimate is actually impressing me! i thought i was in for a week of lag waiting for internet explorer to open! turns out i can play some battlefield even!!!! just low reso's lol. as for affording the board lol computer parts are my vice, lol could be worse, atleast its not crack.

Do you have a VIP account with NCIX? If you do RMA shipping to them is prepaid. A VIP account costs 500 rewards points.

Not yet a VIP over there lol i always make shure to grab shipping insurance from them with the EXPRESS RMA free shipping on that one aswell. funny thing is just called up the local UPS depot where i know a couple people to check on my packages that hadn't made it out yet and somehow the RMA # got messed up on the package!!! luckily my mommy is over in that area of town right now and is on her way to pick it up after i cancelled its delivery:frown: moms are so awesome in a pinch lol

Ok so i got my packages back from UPS . And my buddies are ass's im talking to him on the phone and he is telling me some RMA # on the box with letter and things in em, where as the actuallly # is 5 digit strictly numeric. i cancel the packages lol get em back to find out there both fine just some dumb buddies!!!!
