I just received my mobo today and I am having probelms booting up. Everything will be fine untill my Vista trys to load, then it flashs a blue screen real quick and restarts. I suspect its one of a few things:
I am only using a 4-pin PS for cpu instead of 8-pin.
I have not enough paste on CPU and it is getting too hot.
or Conflicts with HDD. (My booting HDD is an IDE with Vista and second HDD is unformatted using SATA)
And I don't know if this helps seeings as I could find no info on it but I have three lights lite up on the board. The blue one, and then a Green and Yellow light on above the blue one.
Thanks in advanced

I would start a ticket at www.xfxforce.com and then let me know the number. Have you tried booting with just the IDE hard drive connected? Also what are the rest of your sytem specs, PSU, CPU ect?

First off, what are the specs of your ram and have you gone into the bios and manually set the voltage of the memory to the makers specs. This will cause ramdom restarts when the system starts to get under load. If I remember correctly the board defaults to 1.8-1.9v volts for the memory when first built and you'll need to manually set this if your ram requires anything other than this, like my ram required 2.1 to run properly.

Is this a completely new build? Or you simply just swapped out your motherboard? If it was simply a swap and you're not swapping the same exact motherboard, then 99% of the time you will have to either repair your OS or have to install a fresh copy of the OS. You don't have to lose any information if you choose not to format the partition.

I just got go my new mobo and I boot up and it just keeps turning off. It'll be on for like 6 seconds then *poof* it turns off. I assume this board is just dead.

If it happened on both boards it sounds like your PSU could be the problem. The board sounds fine, I'd suspect your PSU or a mis-installed power connector. Did you ensure the 4pin AUX connector was installed on the correct side of the 8pin EPS socket that you mentioned in your first post?

Hi nwmn9386 !
I had almost the very same problem with my Mobo (680i LT)
Here's the troubleshooting steps I was given from XFX Suppport USA :
Remove the CPU,RAM and Video card from your Mobo,
Remove the Mobo from the PC case,
Put the Mobo on it’s anti-static bag, beside the case,
Only plug in the 24pin and 8pin connector,
Power on having no devices plugged-in at all. to see if the FAN spin longer and 1 or 2 light on the board should be on.
If they do : Add 1 component at a time,
Add CPU,
Add RAM 1stick
Add RAM 2nd stick.
Add VideoCard
Personnaly, my issue was a short because of the metal risers the screw in my casing. I removed 2 from the middle under my PSU that were not used and now it works !
