Hey All this my second post
My new XFX 680I board that actually shipped with a nvidia branded bios has no overclocking features at all, which is kinda annoying.\\
I also have another little issue of my part number ending ish but the xfx website has a ish9(im sure this is the same) this board is supposed to be the a+ version, but i have no way to check this.
also i have no floppy and i cant find a iso version of the new p29 version any where and boot files anywhere, i am going to have to make a boot cd and try to run from there, i hope its auotmatic because i dont know the dos commands. and run from there,

Are you using Windows Vista? It appears Ntune does not work with Vista and I have been told Nvidia is aware of this and working on it. In the mean time you are able to access the overclocking functions in the bios. Also PM me your email info and I should be able to get my hands on the needed ISO image.

^Because that's just the way it is. I use a 650i ultra, ntune did not work until I flashed to BIOS 2.0 yesterday. I'm sure it would do the same for you, don't worry about it.
Actually, did you mean ntune doesn't work? Or even the BIOS page at startup don't have OC options either?

All the reff boards are exactly the same, it doesn't matter if it's packaged by XFX, EVGA, BFG or others, they are all built by the same company and have the exact same features and options with the bios provided by Nvidia. The only differance is that some have the original bios programmed by Nvidia and some by the company that markets the board, thus having to flash with the Nvidia or XFX bios.

Didn't mean to get off topic but, Bio-Hazard, with that CPU cooling system how fast is your C2D running?

Depends on my mood really......;) But max stable is 3.6 (100% OC). Normally run it at 3.4 though, it still gets fairly warm in the hot weather we've been having around here lately. Max I've had it up to is 3.712.

Bio-hazard pretty much summed it up already. Almost every 680i board is a exact model of the Nvidia reference board... only the mainboard companies that reworked their own boards will be providing their own BIOS/driver updates.

well i finally found the oc features in the bios, man i am a idiot , all that stuff was greayed out and i could figure out how to get into it, but to be honest, I am a executive chef, and havent had any time to play, took me 4 days to get the new build together
I was coming from a 939 msi k8n diamond plus(awesome board i kinda miss it) to a whole new platform, completly new bios, way different than the diamond plus.I finally found was i was looking for.
up to 3.3 on air, i think my quad might go higher, just have to find the sweet spot.
