OK. so i have me new board up and running minus my mushkin goodness still in RMA land. question here as the thread topic states is how in the world do i set up my teaming ports? ive read about everywhere they are not supported in vista as of yet. so im installing XP aswell. will bridging my connections in vista help stop my router from getting confused when running vista?

Wait....so does your board have two onboard ethernet ports? If so then idt you can have both plugged in with Vista (yet that I know of, look for drivers). If you have two different ethernet cards( or one onboard and one seperate), then you can't have both plugged into the router, bridging won't do anything.

they are both onboard standard nvidia 680i board. i have both connected in vista right now and bridged everything seems fine. i dont know exactly but i believe they each have there own mac addys with one single marval controller on the nvidia ref. boards let me check that though.

Hey tyle6! I'm happy to hear you got your new mobo already...

It's too bad you didn't get your RMAed Mushkin's (...yet), but I'm pretty sure you'll get 'em soon enough. ;-)

Anyway, I'm sorry I can help you in setting up your teaming ports, as I never tried it before, though I'm also using Vista at the moment...:icon_tiphat:

from what i have seen so far there is no support for teaming in vista. LOL they really need to get these 680i boards working in vista right!! right now im on XP and i have all the teamin and that turned on. NO LAG AT ALL!!! i think its more due to the tcp/ip acceleration or whatever but its performing great! I cant wait for my mushkin to get back, running on this single stick of 533 ram SUCKS.
